The adidas Summer Championships is a 4 day tournament that features hundreds of 15, 16 and 17 year old teams from across the country, including teams who have played in the adidas Gauntlet series and non-affiliated teams. All teams will be competing for the adidas Summer Championships trophy.
The adidas Summer Championship is open registration. You do not need to be an adidas contract team to participate.

NCAA CERTIFICATION PROCESS
- All individuals participating in an NCAA Certified Event must comply with eligibility requirements set forth by the NCAA.
- All participating coaches must obtain a USA Basketball Gold License NCAA Licensing Information
- All teams and athletes must register with the NCAA via the BBCS Basketball Certification

ADIDAS GAUNTLET PLAYING RULES
- 2018-2019 National High School Federation rules will be followed with the few exceptions listed below.
- There is typically a five (5) minute warm-up period between games. There will be a three (3) minute halftime.
- Each player will be allowed a total of six (6) fouls before being disqualified.
- All games will be played in two (2) sixteen (16) minute halves.
- Overtime Rules –The first overtime will be 3 minutes. All subsequent overtimes will be 2 minutes only. Each team will be given 0:30 sec. time-out in each overtime period. No time-outs will carry over from previous period(s).
- There will be a 30 second shot clock used in all 17U division games.
- Teams will be allowed to call three full (3) time-outs and one (1) thirty second time-out during the regulation game.
- No game will begin before the time listed on the official game schedule at adidasgauntlet.com.
- There will be no more than three (3) certified coaches plus Director (if certified) permitted on each bench.
- Players will be allowed to play for one team only. Once a player plays in a game for one team, he will no longer be eligible to participate for any other team in the tournament.
- Gauntlet Eligibility Rules – Players are eligible to participate in the grade level they are enrolled in for the current (2018-2019) school year as long as they meet the age eligibility rules:
- 9th Grade: Must be 16 or younger as of May 31st, 2019
- 10th Grade: Must be 17 or younger as of May 31st, 2019
- 11th Grade: Must be 18 or younger as of May 31st, 2019
- Prep School Players/Unsigned Seniors: Each team may have up to two players entering the first year of prep school, and being recruited by college for the 2019/2020 school year.
- Any violations discovered of rule #10-#12 may result in game forfeitures.
- The home team is the top team in the bracket or the 1st team listed and will wear light colored jerseys and sit to the left of the score table facing the court. The away team will be the bottom team in the bracket or the 2nd team listed and will wear dark colored jerseys and sit to the right of the score table facing the court.
- Pool Play Tie-Breakers
- If two teams are tied, then head to head competition
- If three teams tied,
- Head to head among tied teams using +/- 20 point system
- Head to head among all pools teams using +/- 20 point system
- Lowest points allowed in all pool games
